This event supports Brat Fest, Inc., a non-profit organization with a focus on giving back to the community. Proceeds from the Brat Fest Run/Walk go directly to this organization and the Brat Fest Endowment Fund. In the near future, Community Non-Profits may apply to the Endowment for Grants to help fund various community activities right here in Dane County.
The World’s Largest Brat Fest requires nearly 5,000 volunteers each year to work over 16,446 hours. Non-Profit Organizations are paid $9 per hour that each volunteer works. Since 1982, over $1,000,000 has been donated to the following charities;
